Do I need a specific stream in 12th to be eligible?
No. Science, Commerce or Arts — any stream qualifies. The only requirement is a completed 12th standard certificate and a genuine interest in the sports industry. Graduates from all three streams perform equally well.
Is this degree valid for government jobs and higher studies like an MBA?
Yes, fully. The degree is awarded by Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, a UGC-recognised university. It is accepted for government employment, postgraduate admissions and any purpose that requires a bachelor's degree — identical in legal status to any conventional university degree.
What happens if I am not placed for an internship?
That has not occurred in 18 years of the programme. ISST has 180+ partner organisations and the placement team works with each student individually to match interests to opportunities. The guarantee is genuine and backed by the record.
Do I need to have played sport professionally to apply?
Not at all. Athletes are welcome and bring a useful perspective, but the programme is equally designed for people who love sport as fans, students or entrepreneurs. Many of the most successful alumni never competed at any level.
How is this BSc different from a BPEd or a generic BBA?
A BPEd trains coaches and teachers; a BBA with a sports elective is a general business degree. This is a full UGC bachelor's degree that is entirely sports-industry focused, comes with a guaranteed internship, and carries international ISPA accreditation.
