When Indian athletes underperform at international events, the conversation always circles back to the same missing piece: a systematic, science-backed approach to training, recovery and performance optimisation. That infrastructure is being built right now — and the professionals who will staff it are being trained today.
The BSc Sports Sciences at ISST was built to fill exactly this gap. Not as a general fitness degree or an exercise science programme borrowed from another country's curriculum — but as a three-year deep dive into how performance is built, measured, improved and protected at the highest levels of sport in India.
Our graduates go on to work with state and national athletes, IPL franchises, Olympic development squads and the National Institute of Sports. Some build careers in high-performance centres. Others move into research and coaching development. What they all share is a rigorous, applied foundation that very few sports science programmes in this country actually provide.
